U.S. manager Jurgen Klinsmann took notice of Beltran’s stellar season, giving the 25-year-old right back his first senior call up by naming him to the roster for the USMNT’s annual January camp and giving him his first cap in the U.S.’s January draw against Canada. One of the best 1-v-1 defenders in the league, the always improving Beltran is expected to serve as a rock on RSL’s backline in 2013, anchoring the right side behind the Claret-and-Cobalt’s narrow midfield diamond.
