A talented player capable of playing on all three levels of the field, Allen became the sixth Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy product to sign with the first-team when he joined up in December of 2013. The 19-year-old Rochester, N.Y. native trained at the RSL-AZ Academy from August 2011-December 2012, earning the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy Player of the Year Award for the 2011-12 season. Allen spent one season at the University of Virginia, putting in a standout season to help lead the Cavaliers to the NCAA College Cup Semifinals, before signing with RSL.
RSL: Signed to a Homegrown contract by Real Salt Lake on Dec. 31, 2013
2014: Allen was highly touted after signing as RSL’s sixth ever Homegrown player, but logged just nine minutes in two substitute appearances in Salt Lake’s first two matches of the season as injuries limited his first-team action.

2013: Spent one season at the University of Virginia, playing a leading role in the Cavaliers’ run to the NCAA College Cup Final Four … Started all 24 of UVA’s matches …. A third-team All-ACC selection, an All-ACC Freshman Team selection and a second-team NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region Team pick, Allen had three goals and a team-high five assists for UVA from his midfield position … Scored the game-winner in Virginia’s NCAA College Cup Elite Eight win over UConn
Was a member of the Real Salt Lake-Arizona Academy from August 2011-December 2012. Allen was named the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy Player of the Year, USSDA Western Conference Player of the Year and was selected to the USSDA Starting XI Team of the Year for the 2011-12 Academy seasons. Played with current RSL first-teamers Carlos Salcedo, Lalo Fernandez and Benji Lopez while at RSL’s Casa Grande, Ariz.-based Academy.
