Dubbed by some as the “most pro-ready player” in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, Stertzer put his polish on display in the 2013 preseason, earning some rare (for a rookie) public praise from RSL Head Coach Jason Kreis at the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup. A big, box-to-box midfielder capable of playing on the outside or at the top of RSL’s midfield diamond, it will be interesting to see just how much the 12th overall pick from January’s MLS SuperDraft contributes during his rookie year. Expect him to challenge for minutes at outside midfield throughout the season.
