Reserve 'keeper back with RSL after short stint with Ft. Lauderdale

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Jeff Attinella has returned to the team following a loan to the North American Soccer League’s Ft. Lauderdale Strikers.

Attinella was loaned to the Strikers on May 8. The third-year pro appeared in four games with Ft. Lauderdale, posting a 2-1-1 record, allowing five goals, notching one shutout and earning NASL Team of the Week honors once.

Attinella was Ft. Lauderdale’s starting ‘keeper for its first win of the year, making six saves to lead the Strikers to a 2-1 win over Minnesota on May 11. The University of South Florida product was also in net for Ft. Lauderdale’s first road win since July 2012, keeping a clean sheet in the Strikers’ 1-0 win at FC Edmonton on May 26.

Attinella and Real Salt Lake will return to training on Wednesday. The Claret-and-Cobalt will continue its home stand this Saturday, when it will host the rival LA Galaxy at 7:30 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium.
