Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman and defender Tony Beltran both started for the U.S. in its 0-0 draw against Canada on Tuesday night, with Beckerman captaining the side and playing 74 minutes and Beltran playing the first half.

Both players performed well at BBVA Compass Stadium, with Beckerman turning in an efficient and effective performance at his holding mid position and Beltran defending nicely and foraying up the field relatively frequently from the right back spot.

Beckerman and Beltran are both eligible for selection to the U.S. roster for its Feb. 6 Hexagonal opener at Honduras. Both players are expected to join Real Salt Lake for the Claret-and-Cobalt's third and final leg of preseason at the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup from Feb. 11-24.
