RSL’s “Quick Restarts”

  • With the weather cooperating over the last 48 hours, Real Salt Lake will indeed be able to christen America First Field on Tuesday, with the initial training session at the new Sandy-based practice facility set to start at 1:00 p.m. MT. RealSaltLake.com will have the full training schedule for opening week posted by 12:30 p.m. today.
  • With the advent of a new MLS season comes a new soccer-based show on ESPN 700 Sports, as the debut of “On Frame” will take place tonight from 6:00-8:00 p.m. MT. The weekly, two-hour program on Monday evenings will feature hosts Spencer Warne, Brian Dunseth and Brian Kamler guiding listeners through all things soccer, including interviews with RSL and MLS personalities to prepare fans for what’s next to come for the Claret-and-Cobalt in addition to discussing the relevant topics of the day across the “beautiful game.”
  • Will Johnson will get to test out his German over the next few days, as the midfielder is arriving in Munich today in preparation for a Wednesday surgery to repair a nagging right adductor injury. The RSL stalwart and Canadian international will miss 10-14 days of training while recovering from the procedure, which could put him back on the field by month’s end.
