RSL “Game Note” of the Match: Whitecaps FC’s Claret-and-Cobalt

Two Vancouver players
once called RSL home, as GK Jay Nolly (7 MLS, 3 Open Cup and 17 reserve
games from 2005-06) and FW Atiba Harris (43 MLS, 2 Open Cup and 12
reserve games across 2006-07) wore the Claret-and-Cobalt in the Rice-Eccles
Stadium days … Vancouver’s Head Athletic Trainer, Jacob Joachim, was
RSL’s ATC from 2005-10 before moving home to the Pacific Northwest … FW Cody
appeared 7 times with Vancouver’s USL team in 2010 following his
Everton FC stint out of Wake Forest, and was awarded to RSL in a player lottery
earlier this year as he rehabs his torn left knee ACL suffered in Vancouver
last November … New VAN Head Coach Tom Soehn played 39 games for the
Dallas Burn in 1997-98, as a teammate of both current RSL Head Coach Jason
and Asst. Coach Jeff Cassar. / /
