Real Salt Lake (12-7-3, 39 points, West #2) clinched its sixth-straight Subaru Rocky Mountain Cup title on Saturday night, beating the Colorado Rapids (7-13-1, 22 points, West #7) 2-0 in front of a sellout crowd of 19,492 to seal the annual competition with one RMC match still remaining. FW Álvaro Saborío and MF Will Johnson scored for the Claret-and-Cobalt, which extended its unbeaten run against the archrival Rapids to eight games – a streak that dates back to May 2009.
